I created this necklace from a memory of my previous home that struck me one day looking at this beautiful turquoise that looks like a pool of water. During the heat of summer, I could tell when the air was charged with something coming (lightning, rain). The dragonflies would come in large numbers hovering, dipping, flying above my swimming pool. They were so fun and mysterious to watch doing this dance!
I handmade the silver dragonfly suspended above the large oval pool of Campitos turquoise. The turquoise has spots of lovely pyrite that shimmer like water sparkles. The stone is surrounded with thick twisted silver. I handmade the patterned bail, which matches the water pattern on the backside of the pendant.
2.15" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. 1.35" at the widest and it hangs from a 19” sterling chain soldered closed with a lobster clasp.

Jewelry should not be subjected to lotions, sprays or any chemical, as damage to materials may result. If a light cleaning is needed, usually a soft, water dampened cloth will do the trick.
Items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip or you can polish pieces with a Sunshine cloth. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
A person's body chemistry may cause changes to metals. Renaissance wax is a commonly used sealant to prevent these changes. My items are not sealed unless expressly stated in listing description.
