This is a great piece of turquoise from the Number 8 mine - there's just something about minty green turquoise that has brown matrix in it that really speaks to me.
I've set the stone in .999 fine silver and created a patterned bail that matches the back side of the pendant, giving it unique style. In my opinion, this could either be worn by a woman or a man, especially if it were worn with a simple leather cord.
The pendant measures .51 inch wide and .90 inch from the top of the bail to the bottom. The corrugated sterling silver chain is 18 inches and closes with a lobster clasp. All metals are .999 fine silver and .925 sterling silver and the piece is marked .925 with my initials.
The Number Eight (Number 8 or #8) turquoise mine is located in Eureka County north of Carlin, Nevada. It was discovered in 1925 and first mined in 1929. At present, the mine is closed to turquoise mining; it is mined today for gold.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Jewelry should not be subjected to lotions, sprays or any chemical, as damage to materials may result. If a light cleaning is needed, usually a soft, water dampened cloth will do the trick.
Items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip or you can polish pieces with a Sunshine cloth. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
A person's body chemistry may cause changes to metals. Renaissance wax is a commonly used sealant to prevent these changes. My items are not sealed unless expressly stated in listing description.
