Natural spiny oyster is primarily found in the warm waters off the coast of Baja California and the Sea of Cortez. The colors can range from red, orange and purple with creamy white mixed in. Spiny oyster has been used in Native American jewelry and often is mistaken for coral. It is said the spiritual significance is that it provides cool comfort and peace like the depths of the ocean and understanding, patience, and knowing from the rhythm of the tides to the wearer.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Jewelry should not be subjected to lotions, sprays or any chemical, as damage to materials may result. If a light cleaning is needed, usually a soft, water dampened cloth will do the trick.
Items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip or you can polish pieces with a Sunshine cloth. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
A person's body chemistry may cause changes to metals. Renaissance wax is a commonly used sealant to prevent these changes. My items are not sealed unless expressly stated in listing description.
