Handmade from a sheet of thick solid copper - the design is embossed onto the copper using my rolling mill and then cut out to shape the slide. I've given it a patina to bring out the design and sealed it with a microcrystalline wax.
The scarf slide is 1.25" tall and just a smidge over an inch wide. You simply put each end of the scarf/bandana through the tube on each side and snug it up.
Cowboy style calls these "wild rag". It got its name from old time cowboys, who would choose their favorite - in best condition or fanciest - scarf to wear out to the bar or barn dance, hence calling it their "wild" rag.

Jewelry should not be subjected to lotions, sprays or any chemical, as damage to materials may result. If a light cleaning is needed, usually a soft, water dampened cloth will do the trick.
Items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip or you can polish pieces with a Sunshine cloth. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
A person's body chemistry may cause changes to metals. Renaissance wax is a commonly used sealant to prevent these changes. My items are not sealed unless expressly stated in listing description.
