I sourced this stone from a lapidary artist in Australia, which is where this stone is found. I just love the deep, rich colors!
The snakeskin jasper stones have the pattern all the way through both sides, so I opened up the backs of the earrings to show it off.
I gave a sparkly, textured finish to the bezel surrounding the stone and they hang from handmade ear wires for a total length just shy of 2.5 inches. They are .57 inches at the widest. They were created with traditional metalsmith techniques of silver sheet & my torch and other tools. They're marked with my initials and stamped .925.

Jewelry should not be subjected to lotions, sprays or any chemical, as damage to materials may result. If a light cleaning is needed, usually a soft, water dampened cloth will do the trick.
Items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip or you can polish pieces with a Sunshine cloth. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
A person's body chemistry may cause changes to metals. Renaissance wax is a commonly used sealant to prevent these changes. My items are not sealed unless expressly stated in listing description.
