I get so happy when I see my lavender or other flowers full of bees - nature in glory! What would all the crops that need to be pollinated do without these amazing little guys?!
I created these happy bees from a vintage brass die using a sheet of .925 sterling silver. Created all by me - taking the sheet through multiple processes of fire to anneal then pressing in the die and repeating. The little bees then get sawn out by hand with my small jewelers saw.
I created the honeycomb texture through my rolling mill and cut disc shapes, sanding and refining. Then when the discs are perfected, I solder the bees to the discs. I created the ear wires and the rings that they attach to the discs. The earrings are marked .925 and my maker's mark. A process of love!
They measure 1.81 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the disc and the round disc is one inch.

Jewelry should not be subjected to lotions, sprays or any chemical, as damage to materials may result. If a light cleaning is needed, usually a soft, water dampened cloth will do the trick.
Items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip or you can polish pieces with a Sunshine cloth. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
A person's body chemistry may cause changes to metals. Renaissance wax is a commonly used sealant to prevent these changes. My items are not sealed unless expressly stated in listing description.
