I've lovingly pressed a sheet of thick sterling silver into a bee impression die. That sounds easy right? Well, no...not a fast process. I do have a hydraulic press and this still requires many pressings, annealing (applying my torch to make the metal soft and pliable again), sawing out and repeating the pressing, annealing, sawing.
Once I finally have my sweet bee shaped, I soldered it to a 1 inch sterling disc that is honeycomb patterned. I created a unique bail that I've "pinned" with sterling wire, allowing it to swing freely and to accept different sizes or materials of chain. I've shown this with a wonderful, earthy beaded jasper necklace, which is sold separately.
The pendant measures 1.33 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom.

Jewelry should not be subjected to lotions, sprays or any chemical, as damage to materials may result. If a light cleaning is needed, usually a soft, water dampened cloth will do the trick.
Items can be stored with an anti-tarnish strip or you can polish pieces with a Sunshine cloth. The more a piece is worn, the less it tarnishes due to body oils.
A person's body chemistry may cause changes to metals. Renaissance wax is a commonly used sealant to prevent these changes. My items are not sealed unless expressly stated in listing description.
